Wimborne St Giles Folk Evening in aid of JULIA'S HOUSE

I have just come back from a truly wonderful evening in Wimborne St Giles Village Hall. A folk evening in aid of Julia's House and organised by Bob Whitley.

This was an evening of varied acoustic music with:
Dave Lambert and Sue Pugh; Will McNicol; Kadia; Bob Whitley MC.
Sue Pugh accompanied by Dave Lambert on guitar performed songs by Sue, traditional and blues songs.
- Will McNicol is an amazing guitarist who performed mainly his own material with wide musical influences from classical to Latin. If you haven't heard Will before he is AMAZING! I could have listened to him all night.
- Kadia are an up and coming folk trio with a brilliant combination of cello, guitar, ukulele and harmonies with their own folk influenced songs.
- Bob Whitley (MC) performed his own material with guitar and bouzouki.

These evenings are held regularly in Wimborne St Giles and the entry fee is only £5!!! Refreshments (rolls, cake and crisps - what more do you want!) are supplied for a small cost and you bring your own drink. If you are interested in future events contact Averil Cubitt 01725 517255; Bob Whitley 01202 601017.
